All three apartment complexes “decked their halls” with Christmas decorations, a tree with lights and ornaments, and plenty of holiday trinkets as holiday music filled the rooms with cheer.
Traditionally, the holiday dinners consist of a warm cooked meal, and dessert.
This year, the students enjoyed red meat sauce lasagna, a white vegetarian sauce lasagna, green beans, salad with dressing, rolls with butter, along with plenty of delicious chocolate and vanilla cake.
There are 4 total seatings at each location so that the apartment rental properties can serve as many people as possible in their clubhouses.
Multiple seatings also give residents extra opportunities to win door prizes. At the end of each seating, the UC Davis students have an opportunity gift cards to local businesses, and a variety of household appliances and electronics.
The importance as to why Davisville Management Company hosts the holiday parties every year is shared by Janna Buccieri, COO of Davisville Management Company, “It is so wonderful to see the residents have a good time, take a break from stressful studying for finals at UC Davis, and enjoy a home cooked meal”.
This year, the holiday parties were hosted on December 3, 4, and 5, the week preceding fall-quarter finals week at UC Davis.
Needless to say, the holiday parties were a big hit this year!
Elisa Zepeda-Tedder, Assistant Manager for Davisville Management Company, said, “It’s really fun to see the tenants get enthusiastic about the holiday season. Some of the students even come to the party dressed in holiday gear.”
The residents, most of them UC Davis students, are relieved to not cook dinner for the night and enjoy the company of friends and classmates.
It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the your neighbors.
Another big reason why the holiday parties are well-attended is because of the door prizes.
This year’s grand prize at each property was a 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 512GB storage.
The residents are packed like sardines at each of the complexes clubhouse while the ticket numbers were called for the grand prize.
“The excitement the residents get from winning all the prizes is my favorite thing about the holiday party”, said Lauren McNece, Manager at Aggie Square Apartments.
Other door prizes this year included gift cards to Jack’s Urban Eats, Dos Coyotes, and Peet’s coffee, a Mr. Coffee machine, Keurig, Echo Dot, Echo Show, and $50 in cash.
